We install wired and wire-free systems, using only British Standard approved equipment, installed to insurance and Police requirements.
The Key Factors to consider, when installing a business security system are:
Reliability – equipment that meets current British and European standards and are tried and tested internationally
Insurance requirements – the installation of a system to the grade specified by your insurance company, our systems are Grade 2 minimum
Suitability – a system designed around your operational needs with sufficient training to ensure that all staff are confident using the system
Value – monitoring of alarms, power failure and opening and closing of systems, gives you added peace of mind
Contract terms – our contracts run for a 12 month period and can be cancelled within a month of the renewal date
Police Response – to qualify for Police response, the alarm needs to meet certain criteria
Choosing the right company
We will ensure that your system is installed in accordance with the current British standard for intrusion systems, PD6662, and BS8243 the current legislation from NPCC (National Police Chiefs Council) for police response. We are NSI (NACOSS) Gold and ISO9001 approved and all of our staff are security vetted to BS7858 standard and higher.

Installation of Intruder Alarm Systems
We install wired and wire-free systems, using only British Standard approved equipment. The alarm you select will depend on the level of security required, as well as the risks associated with the location of the premises to be protected. We only recommend products suited to your individual security challenges.

Takeover of Intruder Alarm Systems
If you have an existing alarm in your business premises, there is a good chance that it will be possible to link this to our alarm receiving centre. The system must be of an acceptable quality and meet the required NACOSS Gold installation standard. A communication device will be required (if you require monitoring), which we will be able to confirm after inspecting the system. We offer a free, no obligation assessment of your existing system.

Maintenance
We offer a full maintenance service of intruder alarms, to National Security Inspectorate (NSI) standards, which meets insurance and police response criteria (if required). Regular maintenance ensures that systems are kept in good and working order and safety is assured.

Monitoring
Systems can be monitored by GPRS (SIM card), IP (Internet Protocol i.e. via broadband) or both for added security. We will advise you on the choice from several manufacturer options including BT Redcare and CSL to ensure that you have the product to meet insurance and functionality requirements. We regularly advise on changes in technology or legislation that can affect communicators so that compliance and the greatest performance are always assured. All signals are monitored by our 24hr NSI Gold approved Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to ensure sites are always protected.
Over and above illegal entry, our systems offer 24 hour/7 days a week monitoring of:
Opening and closing of premises
Electricity and battery failure
Hold-up/Duress Alarms – fixed and portable
Fire Alarms connected to the intruder alarm system

Response
The Alarm Receiving Centre will contact the keyholders on the list provided. These keyholders will need to check the premises and if they suspect a break-in or personal attack, they will be required to contact the Police. We can arrange for a private security company to respond to alarms; this will incur an additional cost, should it be required..
We are police, or NPCC (National Police Chiefs Council) compliant, so should you require police response this can also be arranged. It is a police requirement that the intruder alarm conforms to BS8243 standard, to avoid the incidence of false alarms. Astron will advise you what is required to meet this standard.
Astron have carried out major system installs, small additions to existing set ups, and fault finding. Their annual servicing is very thorough, any faults are discussed, and solutions agreed with the engineer.
They are open and informative at every stage of the install and their engineers are dedicated and very professional. The work was completed in a timely manner and to a very high standard.
