Multiple Person Temperature Measurement Systems
Following remote training of all of our Engineers by the Dahua UK CCTV Specialist from their offices in Cardiff, we undertook ‘live’ demonstrations at the HPC North Plaza and EDF Generation at Barnwood, where tests were undertaken on 25 volunteer EDF staff members at each site.
Dahua have developed a new highly accurate thermal body temperature measurement (BTM) camera with bespoke chipset linked to a black body temperature reference module that continually measures the ambient temperature of the area adjacent to the camera and black body. The Accuracy 5000 BTM is designed to measure temperatures in up to 30 people simultaneously.
The thermal camera is linked to an Artificial Intelligence (AI) network recorded with 31-day recording capacity, which allows users to interrogate the access control data for their site, which could be a vital tool in helping towards keeping Staff, Client and the public safe.
The major advantage of the 5000 Series solution is that the solution is NON CONTACT, and we installed cameras in the South West, London, and the East Coast, The Midlands, and the North West, The North East, and Scotland.
Our operations director assisted EDF Generation with the design and setup of the required 1.5m walking routes by using polythene tunnels, and containers to create conditions that were suitable for the most accurate body temperature measurement.
By implementing a robust schedule of works involving early starts, late finishes, and 8000 miles of travel, our engineers were able to complete the installation of the 5000 Series BTM solution and train two shifts of EDF staff per 24-hour period.
This enabled us to complete Phase 1 of the project involving 11 EDF sites to the budgeted costs and by the deadline of 10 April 2020.
The roll out of the project is ongoing as EDF complete the required site works to facilitate the installation of the 5000 Series BTM, and will encompass sites from London to Norfolk, Hartlepool to Dunbar, East Kilbride to the Midlands, and Gloucester to Hinkley B.
